CUPE Metropolitan Vancouver District Council (CUPE Metro) with Brenda Coombs, one of our past Secretary-Treasurers serving as Treasurer, serves CUPE locals in the geographical region within (but not exclusive to) the lower mainland of British Columbia.

CUPE 15 is an important part of the 85,000 members of CUPE British Columbia (CUPE BC) while being the largest union local and it is led by our own CUPE 15 past president Paul Faoro.

CUPE 15 is also under the umbrella of the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE National). As part of CUPE National we are in Canada’s largest union, representing about 625,000 workers in health care, education, municipalities, libraries, universities, social services, public utilities, transportation, emergency services, and airlines.

Through CUPE National, CUPE 15 is part of the 3,000,000 member Canadian Labour Congress (CLC) as well.

CUPE 15 is an affiliate of the 500,000 member B.C. Federation of Labour (B.C. Fed), whose workers serve in all sectors of the province’s economy in more than 1,100 locals.

We are also in the Vancouver & District Labour Council (VDLC), with president Joey Hartman - another CUPE 15 alumni and one of our former Secretary-Treasurers.

The Pacific Northwest Labor History Association is a non-profit association dedicated to preserving the heritage of workers in the Pacific Northwest. They promote the study and appreciation of the history of working people like us.

We support the work that Shop Union does "to help you Buy Union". You can easily search for union made products and services by using one or more key words - by company name, product name, generic name or common description of an item or service.
