Langara College members vote Yes to Strike Action
CUPE 15 members employed by Langara College voted 83% in favour of taking strike action to back up their Bargaining Committee. Paul Faoro, CUPE 15 President said “it is clear by the high percentage that our members are frustrated with the lack of progress in contract negotiations and are truly disappointed at Langara College senior management”. “Our members want a fair and respectful settlement that values the work they do each day in helping make Langara College one of the best post secondary institutions in British Columbia” Faoro added.
Over the coming days, CUPE 15 will be doing everything possible to get back to the bargaining table in order to reach a settlement and prevent job action. Further updates will be posted on this website.
