Negotiations with the City of Vancouver Starting

CUPE 15 and the City of Vancouver will commence negotiations on Monday, February 6th for renewed collective agreements with the City of Vancouver, Park Board, Ray-Cam, and Britannia contract groups. Over the past several weeks we have had discussions with senior representatives from the City on how best to conduct negotiations in a productive and effective manner for both parties. Starting on Monday the parties will be meeting regularly based on an agreed intense meeting schedule that will run over the coming weeks. I am pleased to confirm that we will be negotiating directly with representatives from the City of Vancouver and are free from any interference from the Metro Vancouver Labour Bureau.

Our Bargaining Committee has spent the last several months preparing for these important negotiations and I firmly believe they are ready to put forward issues and concerns on behalf of our 2500 members. We will also provide solutions to help strengthen public services and programs in Vancouver. These excellent services and programming are a main reason why Vancouver is one of the best cities in the world to live and work in. CUPE members working for the City, Park Board, Ray-Cam and Britannia are an integral part of making Vancouver so great by helping deliver services to residents and businesses 24/7, year round.

Negotiations updates will be issued regularly. These will be posted on this website and emailed directly to members.

In solidarity,

Paul Faoro
