Bargaining Bulletin -
BACK AT THE TABLE!
Negotiations will be held October 30, November 15, 16, 21 and 22.

MEMBERSHIP MEETING
The Bargaining Committee would like to hold an all-staff meeting on October 31 from 12-1 pm in order to discuss the current state of negotiations. We encourage all members to attend, please notify temporary staff who may not be on our mailing lists. Samosas will be provided!

COLLECTIVE BARGAINING WORKS
The Vancouver Art Gallery Association gained its union certification in 1979. The joint efforts of organized labour and management have since upheld the rights of workers through the process of collective bargaining. Over the last 18 months your Bargaining Committee has crafted proposals which aim to strengthen our agreement with respect to the quality of service we provide to our community. Thanks to the continued support of our membership we are well prepared to be back at the table with the Employer and are looking forward to a concise resolution.

WE’RE WORTH IT
This is a critical moment in negotiations. Our strength as a committee comes directly from the advocacy of our membership. As many of you know, the Vancouver Art Gallery Association’s Annual General Meeting is on November 7 at 5:30 pm and the Bargaining Committee will be in attendance. Come stand strong with your committee and show the board you care about the direction your employer is heading. Show them you’re invested in your workplace and dedicated to the community you serve. Join us and make the message clear: those who work together, thrive.

We look forward to seeing you at the all staff Union meeting October 31 at noon!

In solidarity,
