Update for VSB as of 4:00 p.m. March 19th
The employer is preparing to send out the Records of Employment for On Call Employees based on the following criteria:
- If an employee does NOT have an assignment already scheduled in the system and is NOT scheduled to work they will be receiving an ROE.
- The ROE will show their last day worked as March 13th, so in essence they could be eligible for pay during Spring Break.
- Permanent part-time employees who are on call and request an ROE will receive one as well, but Service Canada will make the determination if the employees qualifies or not. The employer will issue the ROE and then recall the employee so that their permanent/temporary salary continues, but they will be required to report those earnings to EI on a weekly basis.
- The employer is targeting 7:00 a.m., March 20th to do the ROE run on their payroll system, and this will lock out access to HR/Payroll users from PeopleSoft during the run of the Records of Employment.
