Volunteers Needed for Video Project Profiling CUPE Health Sector Members

Wednesday, January 31, 2018

CUPE’s health sector in B.C. is launching a video project to profile its members in the Community Bargaining Association (CBA) and the Health Sciences Professionals' Bargaining Association (HSPBA). The videos are aimed at raising awareness about the work these members do and how CUPE represents them.

CUPE is seeking eight volunteers to participate in the video project for two days of filming sessions, the first to be held on Vancouver Island on February 13 and second in the Lower Mainland on February 14.

About the videos:

  • Subjects will be members of the CBA or HSPBA

  • Members will receive paid release from their scheduled work to participate and will be provided with questions in advance

  • Interview subject matter will focus on pride in the member’s work and in their union, with no subject matter of concern to the employer

  • Videotaping will not take place at worksites but in nearby locations

  • No more than an hour will be required for each interview, including preparation and retakes

  • Refreshments will be provided

By participating you will be asisting CUPE in highlighting the important work of your classification.

If you’re interested, please contact CUPE Health Coordinator Chris Losito directly at closito@cupe.ca by February 8.
